If you have an iPhone, and haven’t already, get the Shazam app. It also works with many other mobiles. I know it’s nothing new, and I’ve had it from the first day I got my iPhone 3G, but I just used it on a radio song and it works like genius.
So, what is Shazam? It’s a real simple (to use, that is) app that will recognize any music currently playing just by holding up your phones’ microphone up close enough to any music. It just rocks. From the iPhone app, you then get album art, the names of the artist, song and album, and best of all - one-click iTunes purchase!
Again, I know this is nothing new - but like many cool things can slip out of your mind. So if it has, try it out today and be amazed.

We used this app on our drive from Michigan to North Carolina. It identified everything we threw at it. Fun way to kill time and surf the radio on a 10 hour drive. The best part about the whole thing is.. it’s free!
